That’s true about so many things — taboos about things that we’re so much better talking about! It’s just one of the things I’m trying to do in these personal essays. :-)

I know what you mean, though, about not being able to ask the prior generation(s) — but for different reasons. My mom was the only one in that whole side of our tree who DIDN’T have a hysterectomy long before when menopause would have come, so ::shrug::.
