I feel like the first thing to do is to start talking about it. Honestly, this weird taboo about talking about our personal finances is strong — I find it easier to write about my love life here than how much (how little) money we make! But if we’re all sitting quietly worrying that it’s our fault…nothing will ever get better. But yes, we need to VOTE. And then write our representatives about this. :-)
