I did have fun with the short hair, during the time I had it, but I always felt like I was playing a role. (And, well, I in fact was.) My long hair is fairly thin and scraggly (and untrimmed), but it’s ME. I’ll bet that was traumatic, to lose so much of your hair without warning or any decision on your part! Hugs and sympathy.
